Grace Drayton Original Cartoon Sketch of "Campbell Soup Kid", signed "gg Drayton" lower right, overall 13" x 16" in carved oak frame, early 20th c. Lightly colored cartoon of an bright-eyed child emerging from her bath tub. Some chips to frame, else fine condition. Grace Drayton (1877 - 1936) was one of America's very first female cartoonists. In addition to drawing comic strips, she created the iconic children that are forever associated with Campbell's soup advertising.Auction Info
