Description
American Express Stock Certificate Signed by Both Wells and Fargo. American Express stock signed by Henry Wells as President and William Fargo as Secretary. The two businessmen sign the $500 share of stock on 2 January 1865, at which time they operated both American Express Co. and also Wells Fargo & Co., which they founded in order to expand into California. Stock is marked cancelled with blue strikes over the signatures. Measures 12" x 8.25".Condition: Some chipping to margins and light toning, overall in very good condition.
