[Martin Luther King, Jr.]. "Annual Address . . . On the Fourth Anniversary of the Montgomery Improvement Association." Eighteen pages, 8.5" x 11", Montgomery, December 3, 1959. The address was given at Bethel Baptist Church by Dr. King as president of the MIA. Following his introduction, he addresses the state of the MIA, the status of black-only parks throughout the city, school integration, and steps to be taken toward desegregation. He also makes an appeal to the white community to stand with them to end segregation before giving his closing statement.Auction Info
