Description

EARLY SCORECARD. We imagine that this standardized scorecard was devised shortly after the 1913 World Series.  It's a fold-over affair that opens to about 5" x 14" and was designed for advertising distribution in the finished textile industry.  One side bears photo portraits of the pennant-winning Giants (along with Cobb and Walter Johnson).  The other side features the champion Athletics (to include Ed Walsh and Honus Wagner).  The lineup sections were blank to make the scorecard compatible to any ball game.  (This one was scored in 1915 for a game played in North Dakota.)  Despite mild corner wear, this gem is still EX.
