DODGERS’ WAY TO PLAY BASEBALL" W/ROBINSON AUTOGRAPH. "ThePublished in 1954, this Al Campanis work was a 256-page illustrated instructional written for amateurs. For practical purposes, Campanis was a capable instructor who had a good eye for talent. But the marketing strategy driving the book’s sales was the dustcover which freely drew on action photos of various Dodger stars. The book and its pages are minimally EX/MT. The dustcover has moderate damage at the top, front (1" tear) and back. The appeal of this particular copy however, is that has been autographed on the first end paper by several of those Brooklyn favorites. Campanis has personalized and signed on that page, and below, there appear the autographs Walt Alston, Don Hoak, Russ Snyder, George Shuba, Jackie Robinson and Billy Loes. All of these signatures, including Robinson’s are "10" in quality. LOA Spence and Grad/DNA. (# This item may require additional shipping charges).
