Cherubini, Luigi. Autograph music signed ("L. Cherubini"), 2 pages (8.37 x 11 in.; 213 x 279 mm.); in pristine condition; bound in marbled paper boards with vellum spine. A piece of sacred music, "Canone a 3 Voci," being 28 bars of music replete with autograph lyrics in the hand of the composer. An Italian composer who spent most of his working life in France, Cherubini's most significant compositions are operas and sacred music. Beethoven regarded Cherubini as the greatest of his contemporaries.Auction Info
