Description
[John F. Kennedy]. Texas Welcome Dinner Program. Seven pages, 8.5" x 14.", Austin, Texas; November 22, 1963. A program for the Texas Welcome Dinner at the Municipal Auditorium originally scheduled for November 22, 1963 in Austin, Texas. President Kennedy, Vice President Johnson and Governor Connally were scheduled to attend after leaving Dallas around approximately 2:30 pm. The program is accompanied by two separate bifolium programs which contain two speeches Kennedy was scheduled to deliver on the 22nd. The first is titled "We are...the Watchmen on the Walls of Freedom," and was intended to be delivered at the Trade Mart in Dallas at noon. The second is titled "This Country is Moving...and it Must Not Stop," and was scheduled to be delivered at the Texas Welcome Dinner that evening.Condition: Top edge of one speech is moderately foxed. Upper corners slightly bumped throughout.
