Emory Douglas Untitled Poster.15" x 22.75"
San Francisco, California; 1969
A stylized drawing by Emory Douglas of a male figure wearing a beret and holding a machine gun raised above his head. At the lower left corner is a quote by Stalin in black text reading, "Only on the bones of oppressors can the People's freedom be founded - Only the blood of the oppressors can fertilize the soil for the People's self-rule."
Condition: Flattened folds, with light toning and foxing throughout. There is a small amount of paper loss at the lower right. There is a small piece on tape on verso at the center cross fold.
