Description

Ben Hur: Circa 1912 Theatrical Poster. 18" x 27.5" [sight] stone lithograph advertising "Klaw & Erlanger's Stupendous Production of General Lew Wallace's Ben Hur". It features the climax of the chariot race at Antioch where Ben Hur defeats his arch-rival Messala. Matted and framed under Plexiglas. Printed by the Strobridge Litho Company of Cincinnati and New York. Very fine condition. The motion picture industry would soon make stage productions of this type obsolete.
