The 1847 "Rough and Ready Almanac" is one of the many that were published under a similar title that provided details of Zachary Taylor's victories against the Mexican Army. Disbound and held with rough hand-stitching. Tattered edges with small stains and scattered foxing.

More Information: Zachary Taylor (1784-1850) had a successful 40-year career as an American military leader, but finished with large victories in the Mexican-American War. His popularity won him election to the White House making him the 12th President of the United States, he was nicknamed "Old Rough and Ready" when he attracted national attention when he served in the Second Seminole War.
