AUTOGRAPHED FDC COLLECTION. Among their several virtues, the signer of first day covers, usually place their autographs with care – principally because the mediums are significant tributes. Presented here is a collection of 64 different (71 total). All were signed from 1983- to just recently, all are ballpoint or sharpie "9-10". They’re composed of a broad host of sponsors and include 37 silk cachets. 48 of these are single-signed – principally by Hall of Famers to include Aaron, Sparky Anderson, Aparicio, Ashburn, Brett, Besck, Bunning, Carlton, Carew, Cepeda, Dandridge, Doby, Ferrell, Henderson, Reggie Jackson, Mazeroski, Mattingly, Lee MacPhail, Niekro, Perez, Ryan, Seaver, Sutton and Weaver. And the majorority of these are tributes to enshrinement. Other single-signed notables include Rose, Vandermeer and Larsen. Multiple- signed covers are principally thematic – from Gehrig teammates to Brooklyn Dodgers to the inauguration of the Devil Rays. And from the 50th Anniversary of the All-Star Game, on of these is signed by eleven Hall of Famers—Travis Jackson, Spahn, Mathews, Joe DiMaggio, Slaughter, Aaron, Gehringer, Ted Williams, Ferrell, Roush, and Dickey.
