Description
1952 BROOKLYN DODGER WORLD SERIES WIRE PHOTO. It makes sense that this wire photo was taken just prior to the first pitch of the ‘52 World Series. Orderly, and posed with resolve, is Brooklyn’s starting nine for Game 1. As if they might be strangers, we introduce this mighty squad - Cox, Reese, Snider, Robinson, Campanella, Pafko, Hodges, Furillo and Joe Black. Wire photos have a way of being mistreated during the course of effecting their purpose. This one however, has endured quite well. In critiquing the medium, it has two 1/2" tears in the left border and two mild creases distant from the player images. A beautiful 8" x 10", this one is begging to be framed.
