[Slavery]. Slave Manumission Document. One handwritten page, 8.25' x 6.5", "Harrison County [Kentucky]," June 12, 1815. In part: "I Samuel Lamme...do by these presents Manumit enfranchise and Set free my negro woman Slave named Sarah...to go out as a free woman to enjoy the benefit of her labour in as full & ample a manner as if She had been born free." Docketing on the verso. Minor soiling around the edges. Weakened folds are beginning to separate along the edges with some chipping.Auction Info
