WWII Japanese Dental Kit Captured On Guadalcanal Housed in an 8 5/8" X 6 3/4" X 2 3/4" wood hinged box with a 2 tier interior that appears to be complete with various metal dental instruments, bottles etc. Interior has a metal plate with Japanese kanji. Included is a copy of a page from the book "Green Hell, The Battle For Guadalcanal" , which states that (Lieut J.G Ken) "Morgan was given a souvenir he never parted with . Soon after the landing some marines looked up the young Navy dental officer and presented him with a beautifully encased set of Japanese dental instruments designed for use in the field. They had found it in piles of enemy equipment left behind". Also included is a copy of a newspaper article dated April 14 1999 from Tideland North Carolina showing a photo of Ken Morgan holding the kit.
