Description
WWII A-2 Flight Jacket with Painted 823rd BS Insignia and Leather Blood Chit. A nice untouched A-2 leather flight jacket exhibiting original insignia. The front breast features a direct painted 823rd Bomb Squadron insignia showing light crazing. The left shoulder with a 5th Air Force patch, right shoulder a CBI patch. Back displays a leather blood chit, lightly soiled, the sun rays held fast with pins which are bent over in the lining. The leather is in excellent condition, there is minor wear to the knitted waist band and cuffs. Working zipper with "Talon" tab. Standard brown cotton lining excellent but missing its label.
