WWII 5 Star General's Car Plate Attributed To General Eisenhower 6" X 9" red metal plate with 5 star painted insignia, excellent condition with a few minor scratches. Inscribed on the reverse in white ink "General Dwight D. Eisenhower U.S.A. S.H.A.E.F." Accompanying the lot are copies of 1942 newspaper articles and copied photographs pertaining to Thomas von Trott Philadelphia artist who painted official car plates under contract for the Phila QM Dept.Auction Info
