Stevens Model 71 "Stevens Favorite" Rifle. Cal. .22 short, long or long rifle. Serial number 07200SF. 22" octagonal barrel. Case-colored action with brass cocking lever, butt plate, rear sight ramp, and hammer. Blued barrel. Walnut stock. Brass commemorative medallion with a portrait of Joshua Stevens and the caption "Joshua Stevens Father of the 22 Hunter" inlayed into the right side of the butt. Missing the front sight blade, otherwise with modest wear and in generally excellent condition.Auction Info
