Nicely Mounted Japanese Sword
Measures 38 3/4-inch overall with a 27 1/4-inch unsigned blade, grooved on both sides and exhibiting a straight temper line and wood grain finish. Matching fuchi and kashira featuring gold highlighted flowers, matching menuki. Large iron tsuba with heart piercings on each corner and gold pencil-point highlights. Gold colored habaki cut with decorative vertical lines. Sharkskin covered grip with deep green cloth wrapping. Leather covered, plain wood scabbard with single ring mount, on which is tied a blue / brown Japanese army sword knot.

Condition: Excellent. Blade exhibits scattered kizu and a few inconsequential dark stains. The sharkskin grip is cracked, cloth wrap with minor wear. Scabbard leather cover is missing its collar but very clean and tightly stitched. Leather snap tab is broken.
