Description

Ithaca New Ithaca Field Grade Double Barrel Shotgun. 10 gauge, 3½" chambers. Serial number 500884 ( the serial number guide dates this as the first shotgun produced of this type in the 1941 production run). 32" blued barrels with a slightly tapered concave matte rib with ivory front and mid bead. Right barrel stamped "New Ithaca Field Grade". About 10½ pounds total weight, 48½" in overall length, LOP 13¾", DAC 1½", DAH 2¾". Case-colored action with simple engraved borders. Checkered walnut pistol-grip stock with matching fore end that has an ebony tip accent. The shotgun is in beautiful condition with most of the case color remaining on the action and little wear to the finish on the barrels. The stock has some trivial scratches but the gun in total would certainly rate a fine condition. This handsome shotgun is accompanied by a Red Head brand tooled leather fitted case. The case is moderately scuffed and one of the leather hinge straps needs to be re-sewn, otherwise it is in very good condition.
