Description
Custom German Single-Shot Stalking Rifle with Unertl Scope. NVSN. .22 Hornet caliber, 26ΒΌ" octagonal matte-top barrel made without a front sight. The rear sight has been removed and replaced with a filler block to facilitate the mounting of the Unertl telescopic sight. The barrel is lever activated to enable loading. The case-hardened receiver is modestly engraved with simple floral scrolls and line borders. Although there are no maker's marks present, there are many German proof marks including a crown over "B" and crown over "U" on the bottom of the receiver. Sling mounts are affixed to the stock and underside of the barrel. The double set-triggers are blued as is the loading lever. The beautifully figured European walnut stock is finely checkered at the wrist and underneath the forearm. There is a silver banner engraved with the name Paul W. Mickler, presumably a former owner, inlaid on the right side of the butt. Condition: Excellent as custom refurbished. Telescopic sight with screw-off protective metal eye-piece covers. Rifle retains 99% of the refurbished blue and case-hardening. Wood furniture excellent. Telescopic sight excellent with clear optics.Auction Info
