Description
Winchester Model 1897 Slide-Handle Shotgun. 12 gauge. Serial number 645504 (1919 year of manufacture). The action and barrel numbers match with a small "E" stamped above the serial number on the action. 28" barrel. Blued with a walnut stock and pump handle. A finer Model '97 you would be hard pressed to find. This example retains 95% of the original finish with only a few scratches likely obtained from storage rather than from use. The wood is equally as blemish free. If you were only to own one Model 1897, this would be the one. It is important to note however that we are of the opinion this gun has a correct factory replaced barrel.Auction Info
