W. W. Greener Double-Barrel Shotgun. 12 gauge. Serial number 40129. 30" Sterling Steel barrels with a slightly tapered concave matte rib and ivory front and mid bead. The rib is marked: "W. W. GREENER HAYMARKET LONDON & ST. MARY'S SQUARE BIRMINGHAM ENGLAND. WINNER AT THE LONDON GUN TRIALS 1875, 1877, 1878 & 1879". About seven pounds total weight, 47" in overall length, LOP 13½", DAC 1½", DAH 2¼". Case-colored action with detailed floral engraving and "W.W. Greener" stamped on either side of the action. Blued trigger guard with complementary engraving. English walnut stock with fine checkering and wonderful grain. A beautiful shotgun with an excellent, bright bore, little used, and in fine condition. The left side ejector kicks when the gun is opened and needs to be repaired.
