Description

Prussian Model 1860 Dragoon Pickelhaube. 9 3/4" high helmet, brass fittings excellent, eagle front plate secured with two bolts, no extra holes in body. Cruciform spike base, 3 7/8" spike with pearl ring neck. Convex chin scales with original leather backing excellent, just missing small securing buckle. Right side exhibits repainted kockarde. Leather body is excellent just showing a few minor flakes and dents. Leather front visor crazed and detached from body, now held fast by the side studs. Rear visor heavily crazed but solid and with original stitching. Leather lining complete but exhibits heavy edge wear. A mostly untouched example of an uncommon helmet.
