Description

Imperial German Spiked Helmet. This helmet is a composite of various parts. The basic helmet appears to be a Model 1895 with brass trim. The brass spike is on a crude cruciform base and it has a Württemberg front plate. The helmet has a Bavarian cockade on the left side and lion bosses on each side. A small portion of the original brass chinscales still remain and the liner is intact. The front visor trim is a bit misshapen, otherwise the helmet would be an easy restoration project.
