Doughboy Painting by Noted Illustrator Rudolph Belarski. 30" x 32" framed oil on canvas signed "Rudolph Belarski". It depicts a nighttime battle scene during World War One. A doughboy clutching pistol and hand grenade crouches low as shells burst overhead. Barbed wire, a French helmet and a grave appear in the foreground. Condition is excellent. Belarski was famous as an illustrator of pulp fiction. This may have been produced as a book or magazine story illustration.
