Description

British George V Military Medal, named to "9040 L.CPL W. ROBBINS. 2/S. STAFF:R.". The 2nd Battalion of the South Staffordshire Regiment was one of the first British units deployed to France, landing in La Havre on August 13, 1914. The battalion lost 1212 officers and men during the Great War. Scratched letters on reverse and edge knock, else fine.
