War of 1812 Era U.S. Militia Officers' Belt Plate and Red Morocco Sword Belt Cased With an Eagle Powder Flask.
Includes: 1.) An early 19th Century militia officer's brass belt plate measuring about 70mm x 70mm (2 ¾ x 2 ¾-inches) mounted on a 2 ¼-inch wide red morocco belt complete with sword hanger straps. 2.) Brass powder flask measuring 9 x 4-inches with an eagle, trumpet and U.S. on the obverse and reverse sides. Marked "R. DINGEE / NEW YORK". Both are housed in an attractive wooden display case.

Condition: 1.) Very good. The belt plate displays modest wear; the sword belt displays a few short tears in the morocco otherwise it remains supple and in very good condition. 2.) Scattered small minor to moderate dents; loading spring broken, otherwise good condition.
