Description
U.S. Springfield Model 1896 Krag Bolt Action Military Rifle. Serial no. 46654, U.S. .30-40 caliber, 30-inch barrel with standard military sights and bayonet lug. Blued finish. Varnished walnut stock and armguard. Faint rare 1901 inspector cartouche. Sling mounts. 14, 942 manufactured.Condition: Fair to good. Metal with grey patina and traces of blue finish primarily on magazine and in protected areas. Wood refinished and showing minor dents and bruises. Crack repair near bolt toggle. Action good. Bore appears a bit dark, needs cleaning.
