Spanish-American War: Five Rhode Island Veteran Association Badges and Medals.

Includes: 1) Army Mexican Service medal awarded to John H. Bonzey, Long Meadow, Rhode Island. 33-mm bronze planchet with full-wrap brooch. Rim numbered "11424". Ribbon has been replaced but the medal is sold with the original tattered ribbon. 2) State of Rhode Island Veterans service medal awarded to A. Britz. 33-mm bronze planchet captioned on the reverse: "THE STATE OF / RHODE ISLAND / TO HER SONS / WHO ON LAND AND SEA / DEFENDED THE / NATION'S HONOUR / IN THE / WAR WITH SPAIN / 1898." Engraved "A. Britz" on the pendant. Repaired ribbon. 3) Identical in form to the previous, this example not engraved with a recipient's name. Ribbon worn. Accompanied by beautiful bronze Marksman medal engraved to E. R. Wilcox, Rhode Island Militia. 4) 3rd Rhode Island Artillery Association badge. Gilt with red-enamel 10th Corp, First Division Corps badge drop suspended by crossed cannons.
