Description
Spanish-American War: Cased West Indies Naval Campaign Medal (Sampson Medal) Awarded to a Crewman Serving on the USS Yosemite.Bronze, 38 mm, pinback, stamped FRANK M. BELLMAN F.1.C. on the rim. The reverse is marked San Juan P. R. with the date of June 28. Bellman was a Fireman 1st Class. The Yosemite was an auxiliary cruiser commissioned in April, 1898. She took part in the blockade of San Juan.
Condition: Very good.
