Description
Spanish-American War: Cased West Indies Naval Campaign Medal (Sampson Medal) Awarded to a Crewman Serving on the USS Indiana.38 mm, pinback, stamped DAVID St. J. GREER, APP. 1st C. on the rim, with three Santiago engagement bars and one San Juan P.R. bar, each dated on the reverse. The reverse is marked Santiago de Cuba with the date of July 3. The Indiana was a battleship commissioned in November, 1895. She took part in the blockade and battle at Santiago de Cuba.
Condition: Very good.
