US M1843 Hall/North Breech-Loading Percussion Carbine. Overall near mint. .52 caliber smooth bore, the gun retains 95% of the original brown lacquer finish. Screws, lever, and breech shims with bright blue/ case colors. Mechanically perfect, perfect bore, deep crisp markings including 1846 date. Wood also about mint with feathering and dark untouched patina. Just a few minor scattered dents and the initial "B" carved behind the trigger guard extension. A beautiful gun and very rare is this superb untouched condition.
