Description

Rare Elgin .36 Caliber Percussion Cutlass Pistol Manufactured by Morrill, Mosman and Blair. 12" overall, 3 7/8" round rifled barrel, knife blade with trigger guard measures 9 3/8". Numbered "10" by the trigger, metal mostly gray with small areas of pitting on the blade. Mechanically fine, bore is dark, small open rear sight and brass blade front sight. Walnut grip is fine exhibiting an old dark finish. Accompanying the pistol is a recently made brass and leather fitted scabbard. Very nice example of a rare American percussion cutlass pistol circa 1837. From the Michael Yeck Collection.
