German Silver Mounted English Pepperbox with Exceptional Decoration. 8" overall with 2¾" .36 caliber smoothbore six barrel cluster. Engraved decoration at the muzzles. All metal smooth and gray, double action, mechanically perfect. Bar hammer with decorative engraving on the top. German silver frame with delicate scroll engraving. Heavy German silver trigger guard engraved overall flaring to a scroll engraved medallion in the center. Delicate scroll engraving on the back strap and massive lion head German Silver buttcap. Finely checkered wood plaque grips perfect, with engraved screw escutcheons. Unusual form and unique decoration. Completely original with no repairs or restoration.Auction Info
