Description
French St Etienne Flintlock Rifle 35 3/4" round .70 caliber rifled barrel devoid of proofs. Bands and trigger guard with inspectors cartouches. St Etienne marked flintlock with crisp action. Metal is mostly smooth and gray with areas of dark staining and minor pitting. Wood exhibits a dark undisturbed patina, a copper coin dated 1792 is nailed to the wrist.Auction Info
