Description

C. 1840 Surgeon's Capital Bone Saw. Bow configuration, 19" overall, with 5 1/4" checkered ebony pistol grip handle incorporating a 13/16" German silver ferrule where it joins the frame. 12 1/4" blade which is 1" wide. Trefoil shaped thumbscrew for tightening/changing blades. Marked Lesueur A Paris on the face of the bow. Overall very sturdy construction and fine condition. Just a few minor spots of surface rust and a couple of tiny patches of very light pitting, minor. Rare saw for both form and size.
