Description
C. 1820 Spike Tomahawk or Naval Boarding Axe Head 7 1/2" overall and because of the relative lack of symmetry in construction likely hand forged. 4 1/8" flared blade with 1 3/4" spike attached at the rear. Overall a vicious looking weapon. Configured for a circular haft and drilled on the obverse side for a screw to secure it to the haft. Smooth dark patina overall completely untouched / uncleaned.
