Description
Allen & Thurber .32 Caliber Percussion Pepperbox Fine condition and rather large size. All metal smooth and gray, with just a couple of tiny patches of salt and peppering, very crisp. Bar hammer marked Allen's Patent, 4 1/2" ribbed barrel cluster marked Allen & Thurber/ Worcester/ Patented 1837 Cast Steel. Mechanically tight and crisp, excellent markings. Grips excellent retaining traces of the original varnish. Light scroll engraving on nipple shield with heavier scroll work on frame. Very nice example of this iconic American handgun and especially desirable in this larger size.Auction Info
