Marlin Model 1881 Lever Action Rifle. Serial No. 4631, .45-70 government caliber, 28-inch octagonal barrel with German silver blade type front sight and long elevation sight. Walnut stock and fore-end.

Condition: Fair. Metal with grey-brown age patina with traces of blue finish blended with patina. Scattered light pitting. Large linear cracks in fore-end. Buttstock with major period repair with crude metal sideplates. Heavy wear and bruises. Action good. Bright bore.
