Description
Lot of Two U.S. and British Socket Bayonets c1870. Comprising: 1) U.S. Socket bayonet with Scabbard and Frog. 21 1/4-inch overall and 18-inch blade length. U.S.marked ricasso. Contained in nickel-plated scabbard with leather frog. Both unmarked and without insignia. 2) British P1853 Enfield Socket Bayonet. 21 3/4-inch overall and 18-inch blade length. British proofs.Condition: Both good with mostly clean steel blades. Scattered frosting and light rust.
