Description

French Second Empire Shako. Wool cloth over a fiber body with fiber bill. Red cloth tape around the crown of the shako with a red pompon. Brass French Second Empire eagle above which is a red, white and blue cockade. Leather liner. Soldier's name and information in pencil on the inside crown. The bill is cracked on the right side near the body of the shako. Some mothing to wool cloth and the top of the shako is starting to separate from the helmet body. Good condition.
