Very Rare Civil War Advertising Handbill for "Hathaway's Patent Portable Writing Case Designed For Army Use". 5¼" X 9¼" in excellent condition. Depicts a soldier in camp with tents and sentry in the background, writing a letter, and detailed diagram of the kit. Includes numerous testimonials and states the kit the kit can be used "standing, sitting or on horseback".
