Description

U.S. Model 1858 Artillery Enlisted Man's Dress "Hardee" Hat. Made of heavy black wool felt, 6" high in excellent condition with no rips or breaks. Artillery insignia on the front is model 1872 with Civil War letter E and numbers. Original artillery wool cord and old feather plume. Crown was at one point pushed down and now shows creases. Interior with 2 1/2" brown leather sweatband and US Army label in the crown in excellent condition.
