U.S. Model 1855 .58 Caliber Percussion Rifled Musket, Harpers Ferry, 1860 Metal is mostly bright with fine even pitting on the barrel and bands. Lock deeply marked "US Harpers Ferry 1860" with eagle stamped tape primer door. Barrel with corresponding date 1860. Tight crisp action, clear numbers and lettering. The wood displays sharp edges, clear inspectors cartouches and the numbers "222" stamped at the barrel tang. Complete with is original ramrod. A very nice totally correct example of this desirable US military longarm.Auction Info
