Description

Two Civil War Artifacts. A Civil War issue musket sling in fine condition but missing the leather adjusting loop. Civil War period or earlier heavily silvered brass clipped corner plate, 2 1/4" X 2 3/4" pierced with the number "18". Mounted on a piece of tarred leather of the same size, which is attached to an 18" leather strap. The strap is clearly complete at one end, tapered with holes for attaching a buckle, while the other end is torn and missing 1 1/2" past the plate. Appears to be part of a martingale.
