Description
Trenton-Made Model 1860 Civil War Cavalry Saber, 42.25" overall length with 35.25" blade. One side of the ricasso is stamped U.S. 1863 with inspector's marks while the other side carries EMERSON & SILVER TRENTON, N.J. Brass guard, leather-covered grip wound in brass wire, tinned scabbard. The blade has a few small nicks per usual, however remains bright with good surfaces. Brass elements enjoy deep old toning and the leather wrap is sound. An excellent Civil War saber.Auction Info
