Superb Watertown Arsenal Trio Including a Pattern 1864 .58 Caliber Cartridge Box, Shoulder Belt, and Waist Belt. Comprising: 1.) Beautiful Pattern 1864 .58 caliber cartridge box marked "WATERTOWN / ARSENAL / 1864 / US" on the inner flap. All straps, loops, flaps and buckles are present. Brass oval "US" plate measuring approximately 3 ¼ x 2 ¼-inches mounted to front flap via a leather thong through two iron loops. Closure strap held via straight line sewing and a rivet. Brass pear-shaped finial. Both tins present. The box is complete with the 2 ¼-inch wide shoulder belt and it's 2 ½-inch in diameter brass eagle plate. Faint name of the reverse side of the belt appears to be "Webb". 2.) Issue 1 ¾-inch wide leather waist belt stamped on the reverse side "US / WATERTOWN / ARSENAL / 1864". Compete with 3 ½ x 2 ¼-inch oval brass, lead-backed "US" belt plate and brass keeper. 3.) Federal cap box stamped "WATERTOWN / ARSENAL / 1864 / U.S." on the inner flap. Pear-shaped brass finial and two riveted belt loops on the reverse side. Faint "US" stamp on the outer flap. Complete with inner wool and nipple pick.

Rarely do arsenal-matched sets of leather equipment come to market. This set was originally in the Jim Stamatelos collection.

Condition: 1.) Excellent. Exhibiting little signs of use, basically in museum-quality condition. 2.) Very good. The leather is still supple and exhibits only measured wear from use. Small extra hole near brass keeper. 3.) Excellent.
