Sharps & Hankins Model 1862 .52 Caliber Rimfire Navy Model Carbine Serial No. 11213, .52 caliber Rimfire; 23 3/4" barrel with standard sights and leather covering. The leather covering is in excellent condition with tight seams and no losses, exhibiting minor scuffs only. The frame is mostly smooth and gray with patches of dark staining and minor surface roughness, deep clear numbers and lettering. Strong action, excellent bore, lever catch is an old replacement and not functioning. Wood displays scattered minor bruises and exhibits an old undisturbed finish, missing the rear sling mount. A nice example of an uncommon gun with exceptionally fine leather.Auction Info
