Description
Rare Confederate "Local" Louisiana Rectangular Lead-Filled Belt Plate on the Original Belt. 54mm X 78mm, slightly convex, lightly clipped corners with strip brass hooks. Very similar to Plate 285 in Mullinax but lead filled. Excellent die work for one of these Confederate made plates with great untouched dark patina on front and back. Still mounted on the original rather thick black leather waist belt. Choice example with only a handful known on the original belt.Auction Info
