Photograph with General Grant and Staff Featuring Colonel Ely Parker. Parker, at right, a Seneca Indian, is quite rare in photos. He transcribed the terms of surrender of General Lee's army at Appomattox Court House in 1865. Some of the others in the photo include Generals Rawlins, Comstock, Dunn, and Morgan.
